Machinery export: document tips for PI, CI, and PL

Machinery and equipment exports often need model, serial no., installation scope, warranty, and heavy crate weights on documents. Buyers and forwarders scrutinize packing lists.

Quotation and PI essentials

Model, key specs, spare parts included, lead time (8–16 weeks common), Incoterms and unloading capability. PI payment often staged: deposit + pre-shipment balance + optional retention.

CI and PL specifics

CI: generic EN name + model; accurate HS. PL: per crate gross/net and dimensions; serials in remarks. Oversized/overweight — confirm freight and routing early with forwarder.
