Textile export: quotation, CI, and packing list practice
Fabric, apparel, and home textile deals have many SKUs, colors, roll/carton packing, and frequent revisions. PI/CI/PL must match approved samples or inspection disputes follow.
Quoting and line items
Common fields: description, composition, GSM, width, color, qty (m/yds/pcs), unit price. MOQ and sample fees in QT remarks. Product catalog with SKU and images speeds multi-SKU quotes.
CI and origin
CI must match order and approved samples; some markets require origin China and HS. L/C descriptions can be strict — one word mismatch causes rejection. One deal data source reduces PI/CI text drift.
Packing list: rolls and mixed cartons
PL lists color, rolls/pieces, weights per carton; note mixed cartons clearly. Buyer warehouses receive against PL — wrong color/code is a common claim. Match PL to carton labels before ship.
